What is the Wordpress?

　　It was first released on May 27, 2003, by Matt Mullenweg as a fork of b2/cafelog. As of August 2010, version 3.0 had been downloaded over 12.5 million times.

　　WordPress is one of the most popular blogging applications in use today, and is currently used by over 200 million websites. WordPress offers simple-to-understand directions and many templates so that a blogger doesn't need to understand PHP, HTML or website design in order to create a blog or website.

　　As a blogging tool, WordPress offers bloggers thousands of widgets and plug-ins, from Twitter widgets to Gold star comment rating widgets. WordPress has more than 1000 themes to choose so that you can customize the look and feel of your blog.
